Sword of the New World's Multiple Character Control Unveiled
With the MMO market continually picking up steam, game companies have been scurrying to bring out the Next Big Thing. And while aesthetic-conscious Asian MMORPG's have gotten a bad rap for churning out grind fests, K2 Network hopes to change those perceptions with Sword of the New World. Developed by Ragnarok Online creator Hakkyu Kim, the MMO takes place in a colonial world inspired by the 15th - 17th century European exploration of Americas. Sakaguchi's Xbox 360 MMO
At a panel on the future of RPGs, hosted by Lionhead's Peter Molyneaux and Mistwalker's Hironobu Sakaguchi, a new deal was struck. At one point during the panel, Sakaguchi said through a translator that he wanted to make an MMORPG for Xbox 360 if Microsoft would let him.
